Steeped in history, our "Le Hall" is the stunning heart of the Baur au Lac and Zurich's living room. Since its opening in 1844, it has been a silent witness to uncounted conversations and kept a lot of secrets.

Alfred Nobel and Bertha von Suttner already appreciated the elegance and discreet atmosphere of "Le Hall" and chose it as an exclusive meeting place in Zurich to exchange ideas over fine coffee and tea specialities.
Today, locals and guests from all over the world visit "Le Hall" to enjoy a cosy afternoon tea or an aperitif in the unique historical flair, which was redesigned by star architect Pierre-Yves Rochon in 2014. It is characterised by a contemporary reminiscence of the past and a homage to the various stylistic eras that "Le Hall" has experienced.

From a quiet morning coffee to a relaxed luncheon to a pre-dinner aperitif, our lobby bar offers a refined and intimate setting for indulgence and good conversations. Our menu features a variety of old favorites and classics with a twist as well as the finest desserts from our in-house patisserie.
