Open Your Eyes

STOP. THINK. FEEL. ACT.

Immerse yourself in an extraordinary exhibition of creative photography that advocates understanding of the 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.

Date: September 8th to October 15th, 2023
Location: Outside, along the picturesque backdrop of Zurich's lake basin

What awaits you?

Together we make a statement for peace, tolerance and togetherness. The photo exhibition stretches over three kilometres and features 43 of the world's best photographers interpreting the 17 UN goals through their lenses. From the splendour of the past to the glamour of the present, progress is everywhere at Baur au Lac. From the charm of horse-drawn carriages to modern heating and cooling systems that use water from Lake Zurich, our hotel is a unique blend of tradition and innovation.

    Sustainable Climate Protection

In 2006, we laid the foundations for a more sustainable future with the development of our first strategy paper. Through a series of improvements, including the modernisation of technical systems, we have been able to significantly reduce the hotel's electricity and gas consumption and cut CO2 emissions by almost 50 per cent.
