Popular since the 19th century, our Afternoon Tea brings this rich heritage to our Swiss table with the finest tea blends from Länggass, finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones with seasonal fruit jams and authentic English clotted cream.
We’re stepping into a summer break as of April 21st – and will return on October 4th, ready to welcome you with renewed warmth.
The story of tea begins charmingly with Emperor Shennong of China, who discovered tea during his meditation practice when tea leaves got blown into his boiling water. This serendipitous moment brought tea to the world.
By the 17th century, tea had become a cherished status symbol in England. Under Queen Anne, this evolved into the tradition of Afternoon Tea—a delightful pause filled with savoury and sweet treats, offering a perfect refreshment between meals.
Unwind over Afternoon Tea in Le Hall, available daily from 1.30pm to 5.00pm, until 21st April 2025. We're taking a sunny little break after that, but will be steeping and serving again from 4th October 2025. Until then—sip, savour, and enjoy every last bite.
