What are the check-in and check-out times at Baur au Lac?
Check-in is available from 3.00 pm, and check-out is by 12.00 noon. You are welcome to request an early check-in or late check-out when making your booking. Please note that these requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
What are the cancellation terms for rooms and suites?
Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the date of arrival, by 12 noon. In the event of a later cancellation or no-show, the relevant charges will be applied. During certain periods – for example, at times of high demand – different, longer cancellation periods may apply. These will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation.
What services are included in the room rate?
A stay at Baur au Lac in Zurich includes numerous amenities to ensure a thoroughly comfortable stay. These include a twice-daily housekeeping service, a 24-hour concierge and round-the-clock room service. Depending on the room or suite category, a minibar stocked with selected drinks is also included in the stay. Naturally, free Wi-Fi is available to guests throughout the hotel.
Do the rooms and suites have a balcony?
Some of the rooms and suites at Baur au Lac in Zurich feature a private balcony. Many rooms also offer spacious layouts and views of the private park, the city, Lake Zurich or the Alps. Our reservations team will be happy to advise you on choosing a room category that meets your personal requirements.
Does Baur au Lac have family rooms with connecting doors?
The hotel offers rooms and suites with connecting facilities – in selected categories, up to seven rooms and suites can be combined. These are ideal for large families and multi-generational stays, overlooking Lake Zurich and the Schanzengraben.
Can cots be provided at Baur au Lac?
For infants up to 3 years of age, we are happy to provide cots on request and subject to availability. Our team will advise you personally to find the right equipment for your stay.
Are dogs allowed in the rooms?
Yes, dogs are very welcome. With beds and bowls made especially for Baur au Lac, and a specially created dog menu, we ensure that your four-legged friend also enjoys the highest level of comfort. The charge is CHF 45 per dog per day. Please note that dogs are not permitted in our restaurants – with the exception of the Marguita terrace.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
Breakfast is not automatically included in the room rate at Baur au Lac and costs CHF 52 per person. Guests can choose from a range of rates, including options with or without breakfast. All options are clearly displayed on our website during the booking process.
