Waterfall for the Baur au Lac

Known for her iconic «Drip» technique, the artist created works rich in movement, depth and luminosity. Inspired by the trees in Le Hall, she incorporated delicate shades of green and gold, subtly infusing the two-part composition with light and life.

Watermelon

Fernando Botero shared a long-standing connection with Baur au Lac and was a regular guest of the house for many years. Inspired by Mrs Kracht’s favourite fruit, the artist eventually offered his work «Watermelon» to Baur au Lac for acquisition. To this day, the painting remains a distinctive feature of Le Hall, combining the poetic lightness and unmistakable opulence that define Botero’s world-renowned artistic language.

Landscape Baur au Lac

Inspired by the Park, the lake and the Alpine backdrop, this work was created for the reception area, redesigned in 2022. Rich in atmosphere and quiet depth, it reflects the beauty of the surrounding landscape through the distinctive visual language of the Swiss artist, offering an interpretation that reaches far beyond what is seen at first glance.
