Over the years, this charitable event has become a fixture of the Zurich ball season and a festive occasion that strengthens the Children's Hospital Zurich and thus pediatric and adolescent medicine beyond the country's borders.

Eleonore Foundation

Since 1874, the Children's Hospital Zurich has been working for the benefit of children and has developed into an internationally recognised and leading centre for paediatric and adolescent medicine.

The Eleonore Foundation enables the necessary structures to be put in place. Without this private background, the entrepreneurial spirit and scientific aspirations of the Kispi would not have been able to develop to the same extent.

As the private sponsor of the children's hospital, the Eleonore Foundation has always been dependent on the support of third parties. This has not changed to this day. Only with the support of benefactors can the Children's Hospital maintain its pioneering role in the field of paediatric and adolescent medicine - so it is up to all of us!
Funding

Funding

The children's hospital is financed by subsidies from the canton and contributions from health insurance companies and guarantors. These funds are sufficient to provide a basic level of qualified medical care and support.

What's lacking, however, is the financial means to innovate and acquire in a flexible and visionary way.
Donation Funds

Donation Funds

An additional CHF 3 million per year is needed to bridge the gap and provide start-up funding for important medical research projects, the purchase of much-needed equipment and improved care for the children.

Without these funds, life-saving, highly specialised and costly therapies cannot be provided, or breakthroughs in curing serious diseases are delayed. That is why the children's hospital relies on generous donors.
